We have been so busy since we moved here that I keep thinking that I am going to share all of our fun experiences via blog, but then I run out of time and say to myself "Oh, I'll do it latter" and obviously I never do and now so much has happened and I feel overwhelmed that I will never get caught up so here are a few of the highlights.

After being here for I think two weeks, a new friend from church suggested a play date for our little boys (who happen to be just a couple weeks apart) I was so grateful and excited to have friends! It went really well. The boys got a long well. They followed each other around, shared sippy cups :S, and there was no toy stealing or the like. And it was fun for the mommies as well. We kept up constant conversation, asking questions about the development of each others little boy and comparing their progress and sharing experiences and impressions of life in the big apple.

The fallowing week Paul and I took the subway into Manhattan, all by ourselves I might add, to join a playgroup of kids in our ward at a place called City Tree House. There was a water table, a tree with a slide and tunnel, and a soft room full of big balls to play with. Anyone who knows Paul, knows he spent most of his time splashing in the water, getting wet and having fun.
In an attempt to be a less hovering and over protective parent I stepped away from Paul, who was standing on a wet stepping stool splashing in the water, and moved over by the other mommies and made some new friends while Paul had a good time with the kids.
He is so curious about other kids, he is never to shy to run up to someone and just stand there and stare until he figures out whats going on and then jumps right in and joins them. I think it was another successful day for the both of us. Thanks again to Whitney who set the whole thing up.

The evening our our treehouse adventure my mother-in-law flew in for a visit. We were so excited to have her come and stay with us!! Paul took to her right away and has loved having her around.
A few of the things we have done together since she got here are: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Natural History Museum, the Native American Museum, Battery Park (to view the Statue of Liberty), Wall St., Broadway, Time Square, Central Park, visits to our local parks, walks along the coast, a couple of trips to the beach and lots of shopping!!
Mama has cook some delicious food for us and I am sure Anton has appreciated eating his native cuisine. I have prepared a few really good meals(trying to impress:)), but mostly I have been baking so that Mama can try all of our favorite deserts. And we spend almost every evenings eating smorgasbords of fruit.
So far the language barrier has not deterred us and we have been having a really good time!
