My little man was sick :(

Paul woke up last Tuesday with a fever. It was mild all through the morning and then got progressively higher. For the next two days we battled keeping it under control. It usually hit 103.6-7 and the poor little guy was so achy and medicine didn't seam to help. We tried to get him into a new pediatrician that was highly recommended to us and who has much better reviews on line then the last, but she has two offices and wasn't in our area until Thursday morning. So we pushed on.
I couldn't get Paul to eat anything. A rare bite or two of something was a huge success, I was pushing food and drinks at him constantly. I was trying so hard to keep him hydrated. He was given extra baths because he likes to drink his bath water (we don't actually wash him until the end for that reason). I was so worried about him Wednesday night that he slept in our bed with me and Anton slept on the couch so that our combined body heat wouldn't make his fever worse. At eight o'clock his temperature had reach 104.7. I didn't get much sleep that night I was so worried about him. At midnight he woke up screaming, every part of his little body just radiated heat. I rushed him towards his room to take his temperature again and the poor kid just started throwing up for the first time in his life.
We after cleaning up, we resorted to all sorts of measures to get him to drink something. I went and dug through all of our saved baby stuff until I found an old bottle. It was interesting enough that he took a few swallows. That was the peak of his fever and thank heavens!! He was achy and tired the next day, but much more himself and his fever never came back.
Thursday morning we went to the Dr. and LOVE our new pediatrician! She was so wonderful. She asked lots of questions before she even started. Checking on his growth and development, asking if he as allergic to anything, etc.. and then he got a thorough checkup.
She swabbed his throat just in case to make sure it wasn't strep since he didn't have any other symptoms except the fever. Gave her advice and we were good to go. We were even given the ok to take our planned trip up state to Rochester for a family baptism.
Being a parent is so stressful at times. I am so glade that my baby is doing better! Now I just have to fix all of the bad habits (getting his way all the time, lots of cookies in an attempt to get him to eat, allowing him to have his binky other then bed time) that resulted from my trying to keep him comfy.

To pooped out and sore to do anything
he would just lay down on the floor :(
