One year down, an eternity to go!

We have made it a whole year! :) Sunday was our one year anniversary and due to the fact that it was on a Sunday we chose to celebrate the day before.
We took the opportunity to go to the Temple. We were there for three hours. I almost passed out, causing a delay in the proceedings, but the experience was wonderful!!
Afterwards we had a fabulous dinner at the Olive Garden where we had endless soup, salad and bread sticks, followed by our sharing of one of their lava cakes with strawberries, YUM! We had such a good time with one another! It was a very pleasant day!!
Our actual anniversary was pretty low key. I made Anton a waffle breakfast before church, but the fancy dinner plans I had in mind got set back due to a family function. No worries, we will just have to drag this event out until I can complete my agenda. :)

Oh and I pulled out the top of our wedding cake from the freezer. We have yet to be brave enough to try it. Anton hated it the first time (it was a wonderfully delicious cake!!) so I am interested to see his reaction after a year of freezer burn. :)

This year some of our main events consisted of:
• Marriage, YAY!
• Honeymoon in Russia, YAY! Accompanied by the worst traveling experience of my life, which has left a scar and a fear of traveling to France. :P
• Making sure my darling husband could legally stay with me in the country. (a long drawn out process)
• Getting Anton started on recertifying his degree. (another long process)
• Getting crappy jobs that thankfully, cover our bills.
• Getting the wonderful opportunity to make a second trip home to Russia. With a slightly less scary traveling experience. :)
• Moving out of my Mommy’s house for the first time in my many years of life.
• And the very most exciting at the moment, our getting pregnant. I’m positive our little baby boy will add many more crazy, wonderful adventures to add to next year’s list. :)
