My post thoughts on the hurricane

This is for you Chelsea.

Well that was boring! I am very grateful that it wasn't worse and feel bad for those who did experience more, but at the same time I must admit that it was kind of a let down. After all of the tension and excitement building up to it, all that really happened was being locked up for two days. It rained non stop Saturday night and by Sunday it was pretty windy, but only rained on and off. We took a couple of walks. The first one towards the ocean, but there wasn't anything to see and with the high winds we weren't stupid enough to go right down to the boardwalk. The most damage accumulated in our area were twigs and leaves strewn about on the sidewalks and gutters. By Sunday afternoon all the shops were back up and running and by the time we went for our second stroll in the evening the wind was warm and half of the city was out and about. Even the bus system was back up and running, something they thought would take until at least Monday afternoon.
But my boredom aside, I am very appreciative that we were prepared and even more appreciative that it was a boring, uneventful storm!
